Town of Brookhaven Youth Bureau: Offers various groups for tweens and teens.
Outreach: Offers a full continuum of adolescent diversion services.
Live-brary: Free to Suffolk County residents who have a public library card. Any student can receive tutoring for any subject including SAT/PSAT 7 days/week from 2-11pm.
Understood: For parents whose children ages 3-20 are struggling with learning.
Sunshine Prevention Center: Offers various groups for tweens and teens.
NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services: The New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) oversee one of the nation’s largest addiction services systems with approximately 1,600 prevention, treatment, and recovery programs. OASAS chemical dependence treatment programs have an average daily enrollment of nearly 100,000 people and serve approximately 234,000 individuals every year.
Talk 2 Prevent: Information about alcohol abuse and how parents can talk to their children about how to avoid it.
